Have you ever known what you needed to do, yet struggled to take the next step? Perhaps you were navigating a life transition, trying to change a habit, or leading a team through new challenges.
The distance between knowing and doing is where much of my work begins.
As a neuroscientist, life coach, and business consultant, I bring together an understanding of the brain, meaningful conversations, and practical strategy to help people move forward with greater clarity and intention. My approach draws on more than 30 years of experience across neuroscience, program leadership, business, and human development.
Understanding the Brain Opens the Door to Growth
Neuroscience explores how the brain and nervous system influence learning, memory, emotions, and behavior. It helps us understand why familiar responses can feel automatic and why learning a different approach takes practice.
The brain continues to change through learning and experience throughout life—a capacity called neuroplasticity. This provides a scientific foundation for understanding lifelong growth. UNESCO’s science of learning resource explains how learning changes connections in the brain.
In my work, this understanding informs a practical question: What can we practice differently, consistently, and realistically?
That might mean pausing before responding in a difficult conversation, creating a manageable routine, or noticing the assumptions influencing a decision. Understanding a pattern gives us a starting point for choosing our next action.
Life Coaching Connects Awareness with Action
Life coaching creates space to explore where you are, what matters to you, and where you want to go. Through thoughtful questions, reflection, and accountability, we turn broad intentions into steps you can put into practice.
Someone who says, “I feel stuck,” may need help separating competing priorities. A parent may want to communicate with more patience. A professional may be ready for a new direction but unsure how to begin.
Together, we identify the goal, explore what gets in the way, and develop actions that fit your circumstances. We then review what is working and adjust as needed.
My neuroscience background informs that process; your values, experiences, and goals guide it. The work is designed to help you build self-awareness, make more deliberate decisions, and follow through with greater consistency.
Consulting Brings the Human Perspective into Strategy
Businesses and organizations depend on people to bring their plans to life. A strategy becomes more useful when leaders understand how their teams experience expectations, communication, and change.
Consulting adds a practical layer: assessing challenges, clarifying priorities, and recommending ways to improve how work gets done. Coaching supports the people responsible for carrying those changes forward.
For example, a business owner concerned about retention may benefit from examining the experience people have from their first interaction onward. A team struggling with follow-through may need clearer responsibilities, better communication, or more realistic processes.
Bringing these perspectives together helps me consider both the desired outcome and the people whose daily actions shape it.
What 30+ Years of Experience Bring to Your Journey
More than three decades of experience have taught me to listen closely, ask better questions, and look beyond the first explanation of a challenge. My background includes neuroscience research, directing programs, working with diverse stakeholders, and supporting people through professional and personal growth.
For clients, that experience brings:
- Broader perspective: Connecting individual concerns with larger patterns while respecting each person’s circumstances.
- Practical guidance: Translating complex ideas into understandable, manageable actions.
- Thoughtful judgment: Recognizing when to challenge, when to listen, and when to adjust the pace.
- An integrated approach: Considering personal well-being, relationships, leadership, and professional responsibilities together.
I have learned that progress requires room for both accountability and humanity. People bring histories, strengths, responsibilities, and pressures that deserve to be understood. Effective guidance takes those realities into account.
Guidance for Wherever You Are in Life
You do not need a leadership title or a business to benefit from this approach. You may be navigating a transition, strengthening relationships, pursuing a goal, or looking for a clearer sense of direction.
My role is to help you understand your patterns, recognize your strengths, and choose meaningful next steps. Neuroscience provides insight, coaching supports discovery and action, and consulting brings structure and strategy where needed.
Our experiences shape us, but they do not have to define us.
If you are ready to explore what comes next, I invite you to connect with me for a discovery conversation. Together, we can consider the guidance that best fits your goals.
